I curently have a 393w with msd 6al, msd billet distrubitor, moroso 8mm spiral core wires. I'm having a bad skake at idle. I've double checked the timing with the piston at TDC the rotor button and #1 post on the distrubitor cap is not lined up. The rotor is firing after it passes the center of the post . My question is will a adjustable rotor cure the problem? thanks for any help or suggestions....If more info is needed let me know....tony

I drill a small 3/8 hole in a spare dist cap and check the rotor phase with a timing light. With the car running check the rotor with the light from idle to total timing and see if the rotor stays lined up to the lug. It will move around unless the dist is locked out. If it is wrong an adjustable rotor has fixed it for me in the past. JM
